THE Scottish Salmon Company has been shortlisted in two categories at the Highlands and Islands Food and Drink Awards.
The business, which has been acknowledged for its achievements in export and sustainability, is one of 44 companies to have been shortlisted for awards across 14 categories.
Held in association with Highlands and Islands Enterprise, the awards recognise the excellence of the region’s diverse food and drink sector.
Now in their 14th year, they celebrate the quality, growth and innovation in the industry, which has led to the reputation of the Highlands and islands as a top global food destination.
Craig Anderson (pictured), chief executive of the Scottish Salmon Company, said: ‘As a local employer, we’re very proud of our Highlands and islands heritage.
‘The area is recognised around the world for its quality produce and these awards celebrate this well earned reputation.
‘To be shortlisted in two categories is great recognition of our commitment to building a sustainable business providing quality long-term employment, as well as supporting local suppliers and the regional economy.’
The winners will be announced at a ceremony in Inverness on October 5, to be hosted by STV presenter Jennifer Reoch.
