BOOKMAKERS are offering odds of 25-1 that a great white shark will be caught off British shores in 2007.
According to media reports, Totesport spokesman Damian Walker said global warming has led to many longstanding weather records being broken and they have been inundated with requests for unusual weather bets for 2007.
He said experts believe the possibility of a great white being caught off the shores of Great Britain is not as far fetched as it first sounds.
Totesport reportedly said it will donate half of all profits made off global warming bets to Friends of the Earth.
