LOCAL fisherman Michael Roberts was caught off guard yesterday, as he landed a two-foot long, mature triple fin fish in the Bristol Channel. 24 Dash.com reported that this is the first time such a fish has been found in Britain: an indication, it is believed, that British waters are definitely warming up.
Usually located in the warmer climates of Africa, South America and the Mediterranean, the triple fin fish was handed into the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff, where conservator Julian carter commented that “unusual species were moving into British waters as they warmed.”
