Workshop to be held on wild and farmed salmon during Aquanor
Published:  06 June, 2005

THIS summer in Norway an event organised by salmon farmers and wild salmon conservationists will provide a constructive forum to discuss the relationship between the wild and farmed north Atlantic salmon sectors. The North Atlantic Salmon Conservation Organization (NASCO) Liaison Group is an advisory group established to provide an international forum for liaison between the salmon farming industry and the relevant authorities responsible for the wild Atlantic salmon stocks and aquaculture on issues of mutual interest.

The Workshop, entitled ‘Wild and Farmed Salmon – Working Together’, will be held at the NTNU Gløshaugen Campus, Trondheim, Norway, on Tuesday 9 August (0900-1800). The Workshop is being held in conjunction with the EAS Aquaculture Europe 2005 Conference entitled “Lessons from the past to optimize the future” (5-8 August) and to coincide with the AquaNor international fish farming industry exhibition 9th -12th August.
