UK Asda withdraws prawn-layered salad labelled as tuna
Published:  01 February, 2012

Asda is withdrawing one date code of its layered prawn salad because it's labelled incorrectly.

The label on the lid states that the product is Asda tuna layered salad, and so doesn’t mention prawns. If anyone is allergic or intolerant to shellfish, they are advised not to eat this product. The Food Standards Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
The product is

* Asda Layered Prawn Salad, 440g
* Use by: 2 February 2012

Asda has recalled the affected prawn salad, and contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members. Customer notices will be displayed in stores, explaining why the product is being recalled. If you’ve bought the product you can return it to the store for a full refund.

No other Asda products are known to be affected.
