Finalists for the Best Multiple Fish and Chip Operator Award category of the National Fish & Chip Awards 2012, organised by Seafish, the authority on seafood, have been announced after being judged on standards in business, retail and commitment to customer service.
Fish’n’Chick’n Ltd of England, The Frying Squad Ltd of Northern Ireland and The Ashvale Restaurant Ltd of Scotland will now go to the grand final with the winner announced in London on 17 January 2012.
Sponsored by Unique Seafood Limited, the event is open to multiple fish and chip retailers with four or more outlets and judges businesses at both head office and store level, taking into account the standard of sustainability, commercial awareness and staff training levels.
Nikki Hawkins, foodservice and events manager at Seafish, said: “The UK’s fish and chip shops are a national institution and this network of national retailers have been recognised for their highly professional attitude to business expansion and the quality of their staff, setting a great example across the industry.”
