Seafarers UK welcomes Jos Standerwick in new corporate role.
Seafarers UK - the welfare services charity for seafarers and their families in need - has recruited Jos Standerwick, 26, as corporate partnerships and fundraising manager.
Jos’s focus is to seek greater support and partnerships with maritime businesses and to encourage their staff to get more involved with the charity’s fundraising work. Previously Jos was regional mnager at the Royal National Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen.
Seafarers UK funds the provision of essential support to tens of thousands of serving and ex-serving seafarers and their dependants, who are experiencing hardship, from across the fishing fleets, the Royal Navy and Royal Marines and the Merchant Navy. It does this by providing grants to specialist welfare services organisations. Seafarers UK also campaigns on behalf of maritime charities and those they help.
Should people be 'stimulated' to eat white fish alternatives to cod?
