The company AgriMarine, which has developed and commercialised proprietary floating solid-wall closed containment technology to produce salmon sustainably in its farms in China and Canada, has appointed a top seafood expert to its ranks.
Mr David Rubenstein, a leading seafood executive with over 30 years' experience in the industry, has joined the company's Strategic Advisory Committee.
Having worked for one of Canada's leading food companies, Mr. Rubenstein established the seafood division for Export Packers Company Ltd. in the 1980s. His experience encompassed managing the supply chain of seafood products to major retailers, food service and retail distributors in Canada, to developing the Ocean Jewel label, a recognised brand across Canadian supermarkets and food service distributors.
He has also served as Vice President of International Seafood Operations at Expack, where he brings his vast experience in procurement and sales in Central and South America, Asia as well as the Middle East.
Richard Buchanan, president and chief executive of AgriMarine, said: "We are pleased to welcome David into our Strategic Advisory Committee. The technology can be applied worldwide to the rearing of other finfish such as trout, tuna, and yellow croaker.
