Fisheries Secretary supports Scottish fishermen at first Scottish Skippers Expo.
Scotland's Fisheries Secretary will attend the first Scottish Skippers Expo on Saturday - his first public fisheries engagement since being reappointed as Cabinet Secretary.
Richard Lochhead is expected to outline further details of his vision for the future of the sector during his visit to the Aberdeen event.
Mr Lochhead said: "I'm delighted to be able to demonstrate my support for Scottish fishermen by attending the first ever Scottish Skippers Expo.
"Fishing is a key sector for Scotland and events like this highlight that our industry is ready, willing and able to tackle the not inconsiderable challenges which it faces.
"As Fisheries Secretary, I would like to send a clear message to fishermen that I will continue to fight their corner to achieve what we all want - a sustainable future for our industry."
The Scottish Skippers Expo takes place in Aberdeen on June 24 and 25. Further information about the event is available here: http://maramedia.ie/commercial-exhibitions/scottish-skipper-expo-home
