It’s the second best coastline in the world, according to a recent National Geographic poll and Fish Week is a fantastic time to enjoy the Pembrokeshire coast to the full, according to organiser Kate Morgan.
Pembrokeshire Fish Week 2011 is packed with some 250 events between June 25th and July 3rd.
“We have lots of great activities on the cliffs and the seashore, and even out at sea!” said Kate, Food Officer for Pembrokeshire County Council.
New this year are the ‘Stackpole Estate Events’ with the National Trust.There are family activities at Bosherston Lily Ponds, Barafundle beach big family sand and sculpture challenge, fresh seafood lunches and crab-dressing demos at the Boathouse, and 45-minute RIB (rigid inflatable boat) trips.
Other events include coasteering with Celtic Quest, coasteering with a foraging twist with a guide from Preseli Venture, who’ll introduce many edibles along the coast, Preseli Venture also has afternoon kayaking adventures on the North Pembrokeshire coast, while TYF are combining kayaking with mackerel fishing and a fishy barbecue, pulling up some lobster pots and cooking what is caught, seafood foraging workshops at Solva with Andy Davies and Café Thirty Five and boat trips around the coast.
