Product Quality Manager



An exciting opportunity has arisen for the appointment of a Product Quality Manager within Marine Harvest’s Quality Department, based in Fort William. The primary focus of the role will be to manage fish quality through the value chain from pre-harvest to customer processing/delivery and provide a closer link between departments for all harvesting and product quality areas.

Principle responsibilities of this role will include; operational management of product quality during harvesting, transportation and processing stages; customer interface providing pro-active resolution to any issues that are highlighted. The successful candidate will be results focused and be expected to actively manage cross-departmental communication and interaction related to product quality. They will also take an active role in setting up and managing targeted fish quality R&D projects as directed by the Technical Services Manager.
Applicants will preferably, but not necessarily, be qualified to degree level or equivalent and have a minimum of 2 years experience in a similar role.  Strong interpersonal, communication and analytical skills as well as the ability to manage and motivate a team are some of the attributes required for this post. Applicants must also possess a high degree of computer literacy.
