Kinlochmoidart

Due to the re-opening of the Company’s contract site at Kinlochmoidart, near Lochailort, we are seeking to recruit individuals to fill the following positions.

Hatchery Manager – £30,000 - £34,000 per annum
The ideal candidate will have several years Freshwater experience with a proven ability for establishing best farming practice and developing site infrastructure. A working knowledge of recirculation based aquaculture would be a distinct advantage.  Essential skills will include the ability to manage and motivate staff, first class planning and organisation skills and a high degree of computer literacy.  

Assistant Hatchery Manager – £23,283 - £25,400 per annum plus overtime
The ideal candidate will have several years practical experience in salmon farming, preferably in freshwater production, with a minimum of one year at management level.  Essential skills will include the ability to manage and motivate staff, first class planning and organisation skills and a high degree of computer literacy.  

Hatchery Technician – £15,973 - £20,265 per annum plus overtime
This freshwater role is focused upon care of the eggs prior to hatching and also effective fish husbandry of the fry and smolts prior to their transportation to seawater farms.  Applications would be particularly welcome from candidates who have some experience in freshwater operations but it is not essential as full training and support would be provided. 

A driving license is essential for each post.

Beyond the nature of the roles, the post holder(s) would be expected to undertake over-time as required in order to accommodate the business needs of the Hatchery. The successful applicants will also be required to assist on the Alarm Rota approximately one in every 4 weeks.
