Published:  09 April, 2010

Findus Group, one of Europe’s largest food groups, is delighted to announce the appointment of Ian Hagg as Corporate Social Responsibility Director.

Hagg joins the company in this newly created role and will be reporting directly to recently appointed Corporate Affairs Director, Toby Nicol.

Formerly Head of Social Policy at British Gas, Hagg helped to reposition the company on fuel poverty and energy efficiency and as Issues Manager at Shell UK, his remit included climate change and human rights. Hagg previously worked at communications consultancies Luther Pendragon, Consolidated PR and Hill and Knowlton where he established its CSR practice.

Hagg will be responsible for ensuring sustainability remains at the core of all Findus Group activity.

Findus Group Corporate Affairs Director Toby Nicol said, “We are delighted to announce the appointment of Ian to the newly created Corporate Affairs team. Ian brings a wealth of experience to the business and will play a pivotal role in ensuring that CSR sits at the heart of our business delivering value to our consumers.”

Hagg is Chairman of the Climate Clinic, a coalition that brings together the country’s major environmental groups at party conferences. Hagg also chairs recycling charity TRAID.
