Scottish Sea Farms is the UK’s leading producer of farmed Atlantic salmon with its farming operations throughout the West Coast and Northern Isles of Scotland.
To be the best in our field, we need to recruit and develop the best staff. We are currently looking for a skilled and highly motivated individual to lead our engineering team based at Barcaldine, near Oban.
Multi-Skilled Engineer
(Salary in the region of £30k)
The ideal candidate will have a recognised qualification in mechanical engineering with experience of small engines and plant, hydraulics, fork lift trucks and lifting gear.
Applicants must be able to demonstrate competences in planned maintenance programmes and record keeping, cost-effective spares procurement and stock control. It is essential that all tasks are completed in a professional manner with H&S requirements and good house-keeping practices underpinning all activities.
As team leader, good communication and interaction with other team members is essential. We expect the successful applicant to be a self starter, highly motivated and with a positive attitude.
Scottish Sea Farms operates and maintains a fleet of 17 coded workboats within this area and therefore relevant marine engineering experience would be a key advantage.
