Loch Fyne Oysters Ltd. has appointed internet marketing company, Occupancy Marketing, to develop the company website, with a view to increase online visibility, attract new customers and generate greater sales from the online shop.
Working with Loch Fyne Oysters' existing web developer, Bright Blue Day Digital, Occupancy Marketing will implement an integrated online marketing strategy to develop the website, www.lochfyne.com, including organic search engine optimisation, website analytics and paid search. Preparation of the website for the busy Christmas period to drive sales through the e-commerce shopping is a key objective.
Occupancy Marketing's appointment is the latest development in Loch Fyne Oysters' marketing restructure, following Paul McPhail joining the company as Commercial Director last year.
Other recent appointments include leisure and lifestyle PR agency Profile Plus, and design agency Randak, to review the Loch Fyne Oysters' branding and marketing, with a specific focus on the company's corporate and retail brochures and export gift packaging.
Paul McPhail, Commercial Director at Loch Fyne Oysters commented: "Our website is an integral part of the business, both for Loch Fyne Oysters and the Loch Fyne Restaurant group, providing customers with detailed information on our produce, history and environmental commitment, as well as the online shop and home delivery service.
With their proven track record in online marketing and expert knowledge in the leisure and hospitality sector, Occupancy Marketing is the ideal fit for Loch Fyne Oysters and will be a vital asset as we develop the business in trade and consumer markets in the UK and abroad.'
Now in its 30th year, Loch Fyne Oysters remains committed to producing and supplying the highest quality produce using sustainable methods. The largest producers of oysters in Scotland, Loch Fyne Oysters also grow their own mussels and run a traditional smokehouse at their base on the shores of Loch Fyne in Cairndow, Argyll. Loch Fyne also sells a range of meat products, which includes beef, lamb, pork and lamb marketed under the brand name 'Glen Fyne'.
The Loch Fyne Oyster Bar and farm shop at Cairndow was the genesis behind the Loch Fyne Restaurant group, now owned by Greene King, with whom Loch Fyne Oysters have both supply and licence agreements in place.
www.fishupdate.com is published by Special Publications. Special Publications also publish Fish Farmer, the Fish Industry Yearbook, the Scottish Seafood Processors Federation Diary, the Fish Farmer Handbook and a range of wallplanners.
Should fisheries be closed during breeding time to allow stocks to reach more sustainable levels?
