Two interesting and varied roles exist for a Farm Technicians at the Company’s recirc based, Fry Production Unit at Lochailort. The posts would be offered on a full-time, permanent basis, working a 40 hour week.
This freshwater role is focused upon care of eggs prior to hatching and also effective fish husbandry of the fry and parr prior to their transportation to freshwater farms. Whilst it would be beneficial for applicants to possess experience in freshwater operations, it is not essential as full training and support would be provided.
Beyond the nature of the role, the post holder would be expected to undertake over-time as required in order to accommodate the business needs of the Unit and, for the same reason, be willing to include themselves in the staff rota for 24 hour alarm cover.
In return the successful candidate will benefit from an attractive salary and benefits package. Assistance with accommodation will also be available.
If you would like to be considered for this role, please apply in writing to: Vicky Ferguson, Human Resources Manager, Marine Harvest, Business Resource Centre, Blar Mhor Industrial Estate, Fort William, PH33 7PT.
