THE export value of Norwegian seafood dropped by NOK 521 million, to NOK 9.3 billion in the first quarter, compared with the same period last year.
The 5.2 per cent decline in seafood exports is caused mainly by a drop in the sale abroad of salmon and stockfish, while there was a slight increase in the sale of herring, according to The Norway Post.
France and Russia are still Norway's most important markets for fish, while there has been an increase in the export of salmon to Poland, NRK reported.
