Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd, part of the world’s largest Aquaculture company, wishes to recruit a suitably qualified and highly motivated individual to undertake the role of Technical Projects Manager within the Company’s Freshwater Department.
Reporting to the Freshwater Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for co-ordinating a number of new technical projects involving farm consolidations and new farm development. The role will also have responsibility for development training and provide support for internal quality audits.
The ideal candidate will have a background in rural primary production and some form of previous project management experience is desirable. An understanding of fish biology, systems of water treatment or recirculation, industry legislative requirements and grant funding would all be a distinct advantage. Candidates must possess excellent computer skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel and Word, along with competence in basic statistics, report writing and exceptional literacy.
In addition, applicants should have a full driving licence and should be prepared to undertake regular travel.
This role will play an important part in the company’s delivery of a sustainable and profitable production base. In return we offer a salary package in the range £25k - £33k dependent on experience, together with additional benefits and assistance will be considered should relocation be required.
