Marine Harvest (Scotland) Ltd currently has a vacancy for a multi skilled and self motivated Maintenance Electrician within our Seawater Production areas across the West Coast of Scotland including the Outer Hebrides.
Working in a seawater environment you will be in an autonomous role where you will carry out all planned preventative and reactive electrical work and ensure that all plant and equipment is maintained to the highest possible efficiencies. In addition you will be required to install and maintain underwater lighting, feed systems and other plant equipment required both on and off shore, investigate all possible areas for improved plant utilisation and output and be required to undertake specific industry training on feed systems and other key equipment.
Applicants must be effective communicators and be able to work productively as part of a small team in a challenging environment. While the role is predominately that of an electrician, multi skilled disciplines would be seen as advantageous.
We are seeking applications from individuals who hold the following qualifications and skills profile:
• IEE 16th Edition
• Inspection, Testing and Certification of Electrical Installations
• Hold a current SJIB Grade Card
• Experience of working PLC’s, Diesel generator sets
• Practical knowledge of computerised feeding systems
• Ability to read and understand Schematic diagrams
It is also a requirement to have a high degree of computer literacy together with a strong understanding of breakdown cover, faultfinding, and repairs on motors, control systems and feeding systems.
This is a very challenging role in a difficult environment and in return we will offer a salary package in the range of £20k - £28k (plus overtime) dependent on experience, together with additional benefits.
