The Chilean industry has faced some "very serious" challenges |
A DELEGATION of 15 businesses and organisations from Atlantic Canada's aquaculture industry is in Chile this week attending the major aquaculture exhibition AQUA SUR 2008.
The trade show, held every second year, attracts buyers and sellers from over 40 countries.
Newfoundland Fisheries Minister Tom Rideout, who is attending the event, says the Chilean aquaculture industry is one of the most successful in the world.
He says Chile has faced some very serious challenges along the way and can teach other countries some valuable lessons.
