ASSISTANT DIRECTOR
Fishmongers’ Hall, London Bridge
The SAGB is the Trade Association representing the Shellfish Industry.
Applications are invited for the above part-time consultancy post which will be responsible for advising Members on molluscan culture and representing their interests on toxin management, water quality requirements, sustainable management, depuration and market development. The Post will require 120/150 days per year and is primarily based at Fishmongers’ Hall. The self-employed officer may undertake non conflicting private consultancy in addition to the SAGB commitment.
Experience and knowledge of the science, culture and marketing, and/or management of molluscan resources are essential. Experience in working with marine managers and legislators, environmental organisations and research institutions are desirable.
