ANDREW Innes has agreed, with immediate effect, to take over the role of managing director of Fastnet Highlands in Fort William it was announced today.
This coincides with the merger of Fastnet Highlands with Middleton Seafoods (Export) Ltd and the transfer of all the production to the site in Fort William.
"As a result, the position of our customers and suppliers will be further assured and we look forward to working together with our partners in future," Fastnet group MD Peter Doswell said.
"We would like to thank Peter Hamling, who resigned his position as MD of Fastnet Highlands on Monday, March 3, for his hard work over the previous 19 years and wish him well for the future."
Located close to the major fishing ports on the West Coast of Scotland, Fastnet Highlands is the largest producer of whole prawns (Nephrops norvegicus) in the United Kingdom.
Its major markets are Spain, France and Italy where the prawns are variously known as cigalas, langoustines and scampi.
