MARKS & Spencer has withdrawn some of its Specialty Tomato & Chilli Pasta Sauce (350g) because it contains anchovies and sulphites, which are not mentioned on the label. This means the product is a possible health risk for anyone with an allergy to fish or sensitivity to sulphites. The Agency has issued an Allergy Alert.
Anyone who is allergic to fish or sensitive to sulphites is advised not to eat this product.

Marks & Spencer has withdrawn the affected batch from sale and has contacted the relevant allergy support organisations, which will inform their members of the withdrawal. The company has published details of the withdrawal on its website.
No other Marks & Spencer products are known to be affected.
